Abdati Laatigue
Geotechnical Engineer
Abdati Laatigue is a mining engineer with a Master's degree in Mining Engineering, specializing in Geomechanics, from Clausthal University of Technology. After completing his master's in 2021, he worked as a part-time research assistant at the Geomechanics and Multiphysics Institute at the same university, before transitioning to a full-time research associate role. During this time, he gained extensive experience in the calibration of constitutive models for rock salt, analyzing lab test data to assess its behavior in underground waste repositories. He also contributed to international benchmarking projects by performing coupled Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical (THM) simulations, while actively conducting research in the field.
