Ryan Pastor
Staff Geochemist/Hydrogeologist
Ryan Pastor received double bachelor’s degrees in physics and geology, continuing on to receive a master’s degree in geosciences from Wichita State University. His thesis research involved investigating the leaching of low-grade gold with thiosulfates as compared to the cyanidation process. While a student, he worked as a geology intern for the Kansas Corporation Commission. The position consisted of field work for compliance inspections, groundwater sampling, and monitoring well installations. Technical work has consisted of processing collected field samples and mapping data for yearly technical reports as well as developing subsurface maps and cross sections. He has worked predominantly as a field geologist with experience with a variety of drill rigs and sampling methods for collection of groundwater contamination and water quality data as well as technical report writing. Other field work has consisted of geotechnical investigations and installation of monitoring and remediation equipment.
